Boreal Future at The G2 Gallery

In this week's selection, Garth Lenz's work is one of several exhibits at The G2 Gallery.

has a busy March with several concurrent exhibitions, including "Boreal Future: Our Last Great Forest and the Threat of the Tar Sands," a solo show by Garth Lenz.

The exhibit focuses on environmental consciousness and the need for awareness of our ecosystems. The Canadian Boreal Forest, one of the world's largest intact ecosystems, provides and filters millions of gallons of water each day.

The other focus of the photography show is on the Alberta Tar Sands, in the heart of the Boreal Forest. Potential expansion could greatly reduce many of the Boreal Forest's natural advantages and increase harmful effects. Lenz's work will be up through March 27.
