'Emerging IV' Exhibit at G2 Gallery Features Birds Galore

Catch G2 Gallery's photography exhibit "Emerging IV" before these birds fly south for the winter.

A current photography exhibit featuring emerging artists at the eco-friendly G2 Gallery has gone to the birds.

The "Emerging IV" exhibit is the third annual exhibit of early career photographers. The juried exhibition captures a variety of birds in various ecosystems and features the work of Neil Losin, Christopher Taylor and Sheri Mandel.

Losin is a Los Angeles biologist who uses photography as a way of documenting and researching all types of wildlife. His contribution to the show includes local snapshots of Los Angeles County done in collaboration with the Santa Monica Bay Audubon Society.

Taylor is a world-travelling bird enthusiast who has explored some of the lesser-visited terrains and has focused his lens on many flightless birds. Taylor's popular photographs of the penguin population are currently at the gallery.

In addition to being a photographer, Mandel is a California-based sculpturist and wildlife activist, using her camera to aid her other art mediums. Her colorful photographs of avian life have earned her awards from National Geographic.
