Groceries For a Good Cause
As part of its give back to the community program, West Los Angeles Whole Foods donated 5 percent of Wednesday's takings to the Mar Vista Family Center.
Twice a year the West Los Angeles Whole Foods store chooses a local non-profit organization to donate 5 percent of the day's takings. The recipient on Wednesday was the Mar Vista Family Center, which helps provide low income familes with quality education programs.
While the final receipts haven't yet been tallied, West LA Whole Foods said it hoped to raise between $2,500 and $3,000 for the Mar Vista Family Center.
