Missing Man May Be in Venice

Police say Shawn Tischler, 30, of Pacoima is known to frequent the area.

A Pacoima man who has been missing since June 29 may be in the Venice area, officials said Friday.

Shawn Tischler, 30, was last seen in Long Beach when he was detained by local police there. He has been missing from his home since May 27, City News Service reported.

The 5-foot 4-inch, 110-pound man has brown hair, brown eyes and a tribal tattoo on his lower back, officials said.

Tischler is known to frequent the Venice area.

Anyone with information about Tischler is asked to contact LAPD Missing Persons Detective Cletus Carlton at 213-996-1800 or 1-877-LAPD-24-7 during nonbusiness hours.
