Today in Venice-Mar Vista: Mart Collective Grand Opening, Venice Symphony, Mar Vista Fall Fest, Book Sale

Here are five things for your Wednesday and beyond in Venice-Mar Vista:  

  1. The Mart Collective, open since August, will hold a grand opening this weekend. Owned by former managers of Wertz Brothers Antique Mart, The Mart Collective features some 45 showcases and 65 booths from vendors who offer all sorts of antiques and finds.
  2. The Venice Symphony Orchestra will perform at Bergamot Station Saturday. Details here.
  3. The following Saturday, Oct. 19, the Mar Vista Branch Library book sale will take place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 12006 Venice Boulevard.
  4. That Saturday, too, the Mar Vista Fall Festival will be held at the Mar Vista Recreation Center, 11430 Woodbine St., from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. The theme for the Oct. 19 event will be “Celebrating the Arts." More details here.
