Garden Volunteers Needed in Mar Vista

The American Friends Service Committee (www.afsc.org) is seeking volunteers with a love and passion for gardening!

Gardener volunteers are needed to help educate and mentor 5-8  high school youth in the basics of gardening (for example: planting, pruning, pest management, composting, watering, harvesting, landscaping, pond care).

Schedule for volunteering is very flexible  (Friday mornings).

Preference is committing to visiting the garden class at least once per month for 40-45 minutes. Visit Roots for Peace for highlights.

High school garden Location:Central High School / Mar Vista Branch, 11965 Allin Street, Mar Vista (cross streets Culver Blvd and Inglewood Blvd)

Let me clarify: All I tried to do was re-link to the video that was dumped when Patch revised itsRead More format. The Festival of the Chariots won't be coming to Venice for months.

One year, long ago, Alice Coltrane performed. Anyone know the year? Definitely in the 70's.
