Venice Cheerleaders Headed to National Championships

The Venice Bulldog cheerleaders are seeking donations for their Las Vegas trip to the Youth National Championships.

The Venice Bulldogs are a Los Angeles County youth football and cheerleading squad and have been around since 1958. The cheerleading team is hoping to raise $5,000 to pay for lodging, meals, car expenses and uniforms for the Las Vegas championship that will be held Jan. 25-28.

Bulldog cheerleaders placed 1st in the Pop Warner area competition and 2nd in regionals. 

To make a donation, please send checks to Venice Bulldogs, 610 California Ave., Venice, CA 90291 and make checks payable to Venice Bulldogs Westside Youth Corporation.

One year, long ago, Alice Coltrane performed. Anyone know the year? Definitely in the 70's.
