We're less than two weeks out Venice! We are collecting new, unwrapped, non-violent toys through December 5, 2013 at: (1) Abbot's Habit, 1401 Abbot Kinney Blvd.; (2) Bank of Venice, 80 Windward Ave.; (3) Oscar’s Cerveteca, 523 Rose Ave.; (4) The Talking Stick Venice, 1411 Lincoln Blvd.; (5) Venice Admiral Suites, 29 Navy St.; (6) Venice Breeze Suites, 2 Breeze Ave.; (7) Venice Suites, 417 Ocean Front Walk; (8) the VNC booth at the Venice Farmers’ Market (Fridays from 7:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.), intersection of Venice Blvd. and Venice Way; and (9) the VNC Board meeting on December 2, 2013, Westminster Elementary School, 1010 Abbot Kinney Blvd.
The toy drive will then culminate in a holiday festival at Oakwood Recreation Center on December 7, 2013 from 10:00am-2:00pm. At the festival, children up to sixteen years of age present with a parent or guardian will be able to select a toy. (First come, first served.) Santa will be available for photos and kids will be able to engage in arts and crafts or play on a moon bounce or in the snow. Children will also be able to take home a book donated by the Friends of the Venice Library. Food will be provided.
Please help us make this holiday a special one for the kids in our neighborhood by dropping off a new, unwrapped, non-violent toy at one of our partners and sharing this post with your neighbors. Questions? Contact: VNC_ToyDrive@VeniceNC.org. The Great Venice Toy Drive & Holiday Festival is sponsored in part by Ron's Thursday Night Soccer Club, the Venice Neighborhood Council and the City of Los Angeles.
