Why Go: Hear an inspiring heatfelt love-story that lasted 36 years.

Where/When: 11837 N Park Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90066 (Self guided tour - see website to download maps or pick them up at this sign in booth).  11 a.m. - 4 p.m. Saturday, April 30.

Why Go:  It's the neighborhood's biggest eco-festival with over 80 homes. This year the showcase expands to include tours within the tour to address even more aspects of sustainability. Learn about drought resistant landscaping, edible gardens, composting techniques, water capture and even chickens! 80 gardens will be open to the public.

Why Go: Two rock bands battle it out at the cinema bar.

Why Go: Funds from this screening and Q&A session will help restore one of Eloy Torrez's murals.

Where/When:  , 3826 Grand View Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 9006, 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. Sunday, May 1.

Why Go? To celebrate the festival! Come see performances by Trio Loteria, OPA OPA and their 9 piece orchestra, Loyola Marymount Folklorico Dancers, Tumble LA Kids. And there will also be pinatas.

Where/When: Mar Vista Family Center, 5075 S Slauson Ave, Culver City, CA 90230; 3 p.m. – 7 p.m.  Sunday, May 1.

Why Go: Its a free music festival but you can support the family center by participating in the silent auction.
