The UCCE/LA County Master Gardeners will be at the market with plenty of seasonal veggie seedlings, including bush beans, lettuces, kale and much more. Also, they will have tips on fall/winter basic gardening and what to plant from a seed in September and October.

Why Go: Do your part to help save the planet by joining others to clean Venice Beach for an hour. Gloves and bags are supplied for participants. Whole Foods Market is partnering with Alaffia Sustainable Skin Care for a Bicycle Donation Drive to support and encourage secondary school-aged youth in Togo's remote rural areas to continue their education by supplying qualifying individuals with a bicycle, helmet, training session on basic bicycle maintenance and safety. Alaffia will distribute your donation of a functioning adult-sized used bicycle to disadvantaged girls in rural Togo for the 2011- 2012 school year.
