Get Ready for Thanksgiving Day’s Mar Vista Turkey Ride

It’s that time of year again. The 5th annual Mar Vista Turkey ride will take place at 10 a.m. Thurs. Nov. 22.

In what has become an annual tradition, Lew and Karen Roth will once again host the Mar Vista Turkey Ride on Thursday morning, so you won’t feel guilty when you sit down to a big Thanksgiving dinner later in the afternoon.

The ride will begin in front of the S.T.O.P. letters painted in front of 3270 Stoner Ave., Mar Vista, and will go ahead rain or shine. Everyone is encouraged to bring his or her bikes, boards and scooters for the 10 a.m. start. People will start gathering around 9:30 a.m.

According to the Lew’s, “the ride is open to anyone and is goofy casual as always.”

The routes are the same as last year, starting with the family friendly loop through Westdale. Following that, the more adventurous riders will take to the Mar Vista Hills.

Let me clarify: All I tried to do was re-link to the video that was dumped when Patch revised itsRead More format. The Festival of the Chariots won't be coming to Venice for months.

One year, long ago, Alice Coltrane performed. Anyone know the year? Definitely in the 70's.
