Find out about the best family events for the upcoming weekend.

We're glad you clicked on our new Grab & Go Kids Planner. We've assembled a weekly calendar of kid-friendly activities and new places to try out with children.

You're time-pressed enough, so we're happy to do the research and find the best things to do and places to go, both locally and within a reasonable driving distance.

Look for the kids’ planner each week, and help us build the planner with your own suggestions and tips — just add them to the comment box.

Why Go: It’s a nice sit down dinner with your family in a spiritual environment.  Come out and eat and pray with the ones you love.

Where/When: Rediscover Center, 12958 W Washington Blvd. Feb. 26, 1-3 pm

Why Go: To be inspired by art.  Julie Kornblum will be demonstrating how to weave and crochet with plastic bags.  Come out and be crafty.

Why Go: Bingo night at Summit View School is always a great time.  You and your family can have fun in a friendly competition of BINGO.

Where/When: 1341 Lake St, Venice.  Feb. 26, 12-2 pm

Why Go: In these two hour tutoring sessions your child can get the help he or she needs with everything from Algebra to the SAT Math sections.  Don’t forget to bring your pencils, erasers and calculators.

Where/When: Mar Vista Farmers' Market, Grand View and Venice Blvds, Feb. 27th 9 am- 1 pm

Why Go:  Come stop by the MVCC booth and learn what to plant in your garden from LA County Master Gardeners.  You and your family can also learn how attracting butterflies to your garden helps your garden grow.
