It's Girl Scout Cookie Season Again

The Girl Scouts are out in force Saturday afternoon in Mar Vista and they'll be doing so for the next three weekends as they raise money for their troops and U.S. military troops.

It’s that time of year again. The Los Angeles Girl Scouts are out in force selling their cookies for the next three weekends. Choose from eight varieties of the tried and true cookies: Thin Mints, shortbread Trefoils, chewy caramel Samoas, Tagalong peanut butter patties, peanut butter sandwiched Do-si-Dos, zesty Lemon Chalet Cremes, caramel-chipped Dulce de Leches and cranberry crisp Thank U Berry Munches.

Cookies cost $4 a box and 70 percent of the sales from each box go back to the troops and Girls Scouts Greater Los Angeles to fund programs and services for girls in the community.

And if you can’t make it out to purchase a box in person, you can buy online as part of the GSGLA Gift of Caring Program. The money raised will be used to send cookies to U.S. armed forces personnel throughout the world through Operation Gratitude, and locally in Southern California through the Bob Hope Hollywood USO.
