Groups to Host Green Business Mixer in Mar Vista

Open Neighborhoods and the Sierra Club's Beyond Coal campaign will offer the free event Sept. 21.

, John Ayers and the Open Neighborhoods team have come up with yet another project designed to support and sustain green living in Los Angeles.

On Wed. Sept. 21, Open Neighborhoods together with the Sierra Club’s Beyond Coal campaign in Los Angeles will host a green business mixer in the courtyard behind and at 12224 Venice Blvd., from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

The event is designed for local businesses and professionals to come together and talk about local green initiatives, according to a statement by Open Neighborhoods. Among the guests slated to attend the event are the members of the Mar Vista Community Council Green Committee,  and PermaCity.

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about the Sustainable Works business greening program starting Oct. 5 and how to save on energy costs by becoming part of the LA County Solar Challenge.
