Street Work at Dangerous Intersection in Venice

A reader sends a dispatch about a traffic improvement project at a dangerous intersection in Venice.

A reader sends in this photo showing city transportation workers installing updated traffic sensors Friday at the intersection of Main Street and Brooks Avenue in Venice.

The new sensors will be more sensitive to bicycles and motorcycles and a similar upgrade has been planned for Main Street and Rose Avenue. Bicycle riders should make sure they stop over the circle area to register with the sensor.

The intersection at Main and Brooks was voted one of the worst intersections around by Patch readers.

Let me clarify: All I tried to do was re-link to the video that was dumped when Patch revised itsRead More format. The Festival of the Chariots won't be coming to Venice for months.

One year, long ago, Alice Coltrane performed. Anyone know the year? Definitely in the 70's.
