Venice Family Clinic Hopes to Send Kids to Movies

VFC is seeking donations to send children to a holiday movie at the Laemmle in Santa Monica.

The Venice Family Clinic is seeking donations to send 1,000 children to the 25th annual Children’s Holiday Movie.

Underprivileged children will watch a private screening of “Wreck-It-Ralph” at the Laemmle Monica 4-plex in Santa Monica.

The Venice family clinic supports 7,500 pediatric patients and in addition to health care provides a car seat safety program, dental care, a literacy and a fitness program among others.

The clinic was founded in 1970 by Dr. Philip Rossman and has grown into the largest free clinic in the country with eight sites in Venice, Santa Monica, Mar Vista and Culver City. It serves over 24,400 people, and 97 percent are low-income residents.

To become involved in the 2012 Children’s Holiday Movie, contact Kaleena Cano at 310-664-7921 or kcano@mednet.ucla.edu.

Let me clarify: All I tried to do was re-link to the video that was dumped when Patch revised itsRead More format. The Festival of the Chariots won't be coming to Venice for months.

One year, long ago, Alice Coltrane performed. Anyone know the year? Definitely in the 70's.
