Venice Makes ‘Douchiest Neighborhoods’ List

LA Weekly’s Dennis Romero has compiled the Top 5 ‘Douchiest’ neighborhoods in Los Angeles and Venice’s Abbot Kinney scraped in at #5.

Venice is constantly on many Top 5, 10 and 100 lists, but this is probably a list it doesn’t want to be on, unless it’s now classy to be, well, unclassy.

According to Romero you’re a douche if you “drive a leased German car you can't afford, because it's certainly not a Volkswagen. Your hair has more product than Costco. You constantly post about your models-and-bottles nightclub exploits on Facebook.”

Romero says of Abbot Kinney “You vegan, sustainable, yuppie-ass, sponge-longboard-toting newcomers should all be taken over to Sixth Avenue in the still-gritty Oakwood neighborhood and made to camp out for one hot summer night just to see how long you'd survive.”
