A Harry Potter Halloween in Mar Vista

Mar Vistans channeled their inner Harry's, Ron's and Hermione's Monday at the Mar Vista Recreation Center's Harry Potter Halloween Festival, Monday.

Dressed in Harry Potter attire the staff held a Halloween festival Monday that featured games, a bounce house and a haunted room.

More than three hundred people attended the festival, and while many of the attendees came from the neighborhood, some made the trek from across the country.

One vistor from New Jersey said, "This is great," a visitor from New Jersey told Patch. " Totally awesome. I wish we had something like this for the kids back home."

Not everyone dressed up in Harry Potter garb. There were plenty of generic witches, wizards and even superheros on display, but the one thing everyone had in common was a great time.

Let me clarify: All I tried to do was re-link to the video that was dumped when Patch revised itsRead More format. The Festival of the Chariots won't be coming to Venice for months.

One year, long ago, Alice Coltrane performed. Anyone know the year? Definitely in the 70's.
