What to Do After the Holiday

Venice offers art, film and something for the kids this week.

Now that the July 4th holiday has passed, you might be looking for something to do.

While you can relax as one option, you can also enjoy some cultural activities, from art shows to film screenings and an arts day camp for kids (yes, something to keep their interest while school's out!).

Venice Arts sponsors the 2011 Media Arts Summer Camp, which starts Tuesday and runs through Friday, July 29. Media Arts Camp is for ages 10-18. In a 3-hour intensive workshop in the morning, there is the opportunity to explore a different aspect of photography, filmmaking, animation, or comics, and take a field trip or go on a field shoot. Call 310-578-1745 or email info@venice-arts.org to get more information. Camp is free for low income families.
