Don't Miss These Venice Art Crawl Events

Here is our monthly top five for Thursday night's Venice Art Crawl.

Venice's favorite monthly art party (OK, OK, Venice's only monthly art party) is back Thursday night.

The Venice Art Crawl stretches from Venice Boulevard all the way to Rose Avenue, and you can download the full map here. But if you want to get a quick preview of some of the most interesting highlights coming up, read on:

First up is . It's picking up shop (not literally) and moving from Abbot Kinney Boulevard into with a pop-up show featuring work by Bryan Pickens, CRAWW, Codak, Craig "Skibs" Barker, and several other artists. Steven Williams will be doing live painting, and DJ's BusRider and Josh Gold will provide the tunes.

A new photo gallery called 1320 Main Studios, shockingly located at 1320 Main St., is jumping on the Venice Art Crawl this month. Featured photographers for the night will include Christo Brock, Grant Barbeito and David Zentz.

Getting back to something that was a hit at last month's crawl, artists will be back to transform the old gas station across from into a "Burning Man-esque" DIY art event. "No surface was left untouched as local artists spent the night transforming the old gas pumps into their canvas," VAC organizers said. For June, more than ten artists will featuring work at the station, at 1697 Pacific Ave. Music by the housemates will be going until 11:30 p.m.

Dogtown Artists United is also returning with the 811 Art Crawl, featuring an eclectic mix of DJ's, performers, art installations and live painting at an unoccupied property on the boardwalk. Artists include: Lisa Mansy, Chango, Chris Tallon, Max Einstein, Clark Davis, David Hailey, Killed, Vinny, Annie Walton-Teter and Jean Paul, with music by Michael Jost, The Dirty Hippies and an animated rock opera by Mia and Jonah.

Finally, make sure you swing by the MOMENTUM party at the corner of Brooks and Pacific. There will be art by VAC favorites Isabelle Alford-Lago, Joshua, Bletterman, Maximillian Einstein and Grant Buckerfield, as well as video projections and Djs. Party kicks off at 7 p.m. or 8 p.m. (depending on which invite you see) and will go 'til midnight.

See you there!
