CHARLES PLYMELL, ROXIE POWELL, AND ROBERT BRANAMAN

Charles Plymell, Roxie Powell and Robert Branaman are all Kansas natives and are  part of the Wichita Vortex, which is considered as the last wave of the beat generation who migrated west to San Francisco during the city's cultural renaissance of the 1950s. The Vortex group included William S. Burroughs, Bruce Conner, Dennis Hopper, Charlie Parker, Glenn Todd, Timothy Leary, Ed Dorn, Stan Brakhage, S. Clay Wilson, Michael McClure, and Dave Haselwood.
