Beyond Baroque presents Get-Lit Slam Team Reading, hosted by Tony Award winning poet, Mayda Del Valle. They are the premiere classical teen poetry troupe in the nation and have been featured on HBO, the LA Times, PBS, and more. They come from inner city high schools throughout Los Angeles and are selected through an exhaustive auditioning process. They perform for over 10,000 of their peers each year, inspiring them to read, write, stay in school, and thrive.
