Max10 Performance Lab

Where can you go to truly experiment with a new performance idea, media, genre, method, material or process? Where can you go to risk failure, as a true testament of one's progress as a performer? Where can you go to be encouraged to go out on that limb?

Max10 Performance Lab provides the space where you can slash through a mattress, soundscape in your birthday suit, dance a refined ballet, improvise movement, scream through multiple characters and much more, in a safe environment.

The lab is on the first Monday of every month, for 10 months a year (except for August and September).

Attendees must park on the lot. When the lot fills up, the event is sold out, so come early, or better yet, be sustainable, carpool, ride your bike or walk. Reception follows afterward.

Past performers include Cid Pearlman, David King, Robin Conrad, Maria Gillespie, Naked with Shoes, Danielle Brazelle, Sir Ian McKellan and Denise Uyehara.

If you want to perform at max10 write to: max10@electriclodge.org.

Tickets: $10, cash only, no reservations

Let me clarify: All I tried to do was re-link to the video that was dumped when Patch revised itsRead More format. The Festival of the Chariots won't be coming to Venice for months.

One year, long ago, Alice Coltrane performed. Anyone know the year? Definitely in the 70's.

Thank you, David, for your lucid and edifying dissertation on Passover. You just about said itRead More all...I would only add that if people get a chance during the holiday to view the movie version of Fiddler On The Roof they will get a truly inspiring feeling for what it meant - and means - to be Jewish.
