Local artist, Angélique Glennon, will display some of her fabulous era-based paintings, ranging from the years 1986-2012, at The Electric Lodge in Venice, CA. The paintings will be on display from the date of the art opening, Friday, July 20th, through Sunday, August 26th. In addition, the show’s opening day will feature a special presentation of EcCeptical® - sculpture in the shape of jewelry. EcCeptical® is unprecedented, innovative, whimsical and either "frameable" or wearable works of art. She will also display her feminine assemblages of collectible bottles. Please note: Bottles and EcCeptical® jewelry will be available for purchase only on July 20th, opening day.

THE SHOW IS FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.

At 8:30 pm, Angélique will speak about her work, specifically some of her concepts for the EcCeptical® art jewelry collections, her sources of inspiration and how she developed them into works of art.

Angélique Glennon was born in France in the sixties and came to the US in 1988. Early on, she loved "fabricating" innovative objects and had many interests in the art field: design, architecture, sculpture, painting, dress design, jewelry & accessory making, photography and drawing. In 2001, she created the first EcCeptical® series. Now, there are over 200 pieces collectively. EcCeptical® is made from the idea of the "Unfunction": the fact that some people may associate a material to its function. www.angeliqueglennon.com/EcCeptical,_Art_jewelry
