Get a head start on spring! Seed starting demonstration with Home Grown Edible Landscaping - "Come plant your own seedling to take home" Limited quantities!

Stop by the MVCC Green Booth at the Mar Vista Farmers Market on Sunday March 13th to meet Master Gardener Geri Miller of Home Grown Edible Landscapes. We’ll have samples of just germinated radish seedlings. Learn about seed structure and how to make your own sustainable organic starting mix using recycled materials as seedling trays. This is a great chance to get a hands-on demo of seed starting.

Home Grown Edible Landscapes grew out of an effort by Master Gardener, Geri Miller, to reach out to like-minded people who were searching for sound, research-based resources for challenges they were facing in their own back (and front) yards. Through the overwhelming response to her fan page on Facebook, it was clear that there was a growing national "grass roots" interest in learning to use landscapes in a more environmentally sound and productive way. As a UC Davis certified Master Gardener and horticulturist, Ms. Miller has been designing, planting and teaching in edible and native gardens, from private residences to public schools, since 2004. Working to strengthen communities, much of her work over the years has been pro bono to educators and non-profits focusing on children.

Let me clarify: All I tried to do was re-link to the video that was dumped when Patch revised itsRead More format. The Festival of the Chariots won't be coming to Venice for months.

One year, long ago, Alice Coltrane performed. Anyone know the year? Definitely in the 70's.
