Michael Hoffee: A devastating injury in 1997 changed the course of Michael Hoffee's life. During his recoveries from several surgeries he began to paint with a gift sent from one of his daughters. His motto became "paint not pain." Slowly his works became more vibrant, recognizable and more connected to the audience. Color and wild movement explode on large canvas as he moved away from his dark years. Most recently, Michael has focused his work on creating not so still, still lifes of flowers that seem to pop and melt from the canvas.
