Graffiti Artists Pay Tribute to Beastie Boys' MCA on Venice Art Wall

Graffiti artists took to the art wall on Venice Beach to spray paint tributes to Adam Yauch, the late member of the Beastie Boys better known as MCA.

The art wall on Venice Beach has been turned into a tribute to Adam Yauch, the late member of the Beastie Boys who had the stage name MCA.

Yauch died May 4 at age 47 and had been battling cancer.

One wall on Venice Beach has a depiction of the Beastie Boys' first album, License to Ill, with a nod to MCA seen on the airplane's tail. Another wall features all three members of the hip-hop band and can be seen in this time-lapse video.

Let me clarify: All I tried to do was re-link to the video that was dumped when Patch revised itsRead More format. The Festival of the Chariots won't be coming to Venice for months.

One year, long ago, Alice Coltrane performed. Anyone know the year? Definitely in the 70's.
