L & M Arts is currently showing Robert Irwin's "Way Out West" exhibit, his first new work display in Los Angeles in more than four decades. The artist's display glows with fluorescent tubes, lighting the gallery walls.
Light bulbs are arranged by different sizes, colors and patterns in each piece. Contrasting colors, as well as the level of intensity of the lighting, create different reflections in the space.
The exhibit explores the use of both light and space to set differing moods for its environment.
Irwin's "Way Out West" exhibit can be seen through Oct. 22 at 660 Venice Blvd.
