Craft Beer Brewer Said to be Opening Restaurant and Taproom in Venice

Firestone Walker Brewery is said to be preparing to open a new restaurant, taproom and offices in Venice next year, according to online articles.

According to the Los Angeles Times, the business has purchased a large parcel of land on Washington Boulevard just west of Lincoln Boulevard where a Sizzler restaurant and doctors' office were located.

A press release from the brewery reads, “Our plans will be shaped as we become part of the neighborhood. We are not a restaurant chain, but we recognize that great beers are best accompanied with food, so the pressure is on us to deliver something worthy.”

Based in Central California, Firestone Walker is California’s fourth-largest craft brewery. They operate a brewery and restaurant/taproom in Paso Robles and a restaurant/taproom in Buellton. The Venice location may include a small brewery, according to the Times

Reportedly, the operation was attracted to Venice due to its bike culture.
