Design Conference to Feature Venice Home

Dwell Media's design conference returns to Los Angeles in June, this time featuring a Westside tour and a Venice home.

A home in Venice will be showcased during a self-guided tour offered as part of the Dwell on Design conference scheduled at the Los Angeles Convention Center June 21-23.

Dwell Home Venice, Dwell magazine’s showcase home, will be open to the public during the conference's Westside tour on the Saturday before the conference opens.

The Dwell on Design website describes the home as a "showcase of modern architecture and design."

The residence is being built for Michael Sylvester, managing director of Dwell On Design, and was designed by Sebastian Marisca, who has offices in Boston and San Diego. The home site located east of Lincoln Boulevard includes full-growth trees, which have been incorporated into the design that aimed to bring the outdoors inside.

Dwell Home Venice will be part of a Westside, self-guided tour on Saturday, June 15, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Also on the tour will be the Westside home of painter Diana Wong designed by Beverly Hills–based architect Paul Murdoch.
