Gas Prices Now Less Than $4 Per Gallon

The average price of a gallon of regular self-serve gasoline in Los Angeles County is now $3.994.

The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County today fell under $4 for the first time since Feb. 17, dropping 1.4 cents to $3.994.

The average price has decreased for 32 consecutive days and is 13.4 cents less than one week ago and 41.1 cents lower than one month ago, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.

Nevertheless, the average price is 6.2 cents higher than one year ago.

The decreasing pump prices are the result "of the rapid drop in wholesale prices" that began late last month when the supply started increasing after maintenance was completed in refineries in Southern and Northern California, according to Jeffrey Spring of the Automobile Club of Southern California.

The cheaper prices have not made their way yet to Venice-Mar Vista, where the lowest price for a gallon of regular was $4.22 at the USA Petroleum at 4395 Glencoe Ave. Check here for more local prices.

Let me clarify: All I tried to do was re-link to the video that was dumped when Patch revised itsRead More format. The Festival of the Chariots won't be coming to Venice for months.

One year, long ago, Alice Coltrane performed. Anyone know the year? Definitely in the 70's.
