405 Car Chase Ends in Arrest

No injuries were reported during the chase.

A man driving what police said was a stolen vehicle led authorities on a chase today from Van Nuys to West Los Angeles, where officers forced the SUV into a spin and arrested the driver.

The chase began about 10:15 a.m., when Los Angeles police officers tried to stop the 1993 Nissan Pathfinder at Magnolia and Van Nuys boulevards, according to Los Angeles police Officer Bruce Borihanh.

The motorist kept going, eventually entering the Ronald Reagan (118) Freeway and then driving south on the San Diego (405) Freeway. At about 10:45 a.m., the SUV exited the 405 Freeway in West Los Angeles.

As the suspect tried to turn north on Sawtelle Boulevard, officers used a PIT maneuver to spin out the vehicle. The suspect was arrested on Sawtelle at Tennessee Avenue, just south of Olympic Boulevard.

There were no reports of any injuries during the chase.

Let me clarify: All I tried to do was re-link to the video that was dumped when Patch revised itsRead More format. The Festival of the Chariots won't be coming to Venice for months.

One year, long ago, Alice Coltrane performed. Anyone know the year? Definitely in the 70's.

Thank you, David, for your lucid and edifying dissertation on Passover. You just about said itRead More all...I would only add that if people get a chance during the holiday to view the movie version of Fiddler On The Roof they will get a truly inspiring feeling for what it meant - and means - to be Jewish.
