Judge is Expected to Hear from Lindsay Lohan's Attorney on Thursday

Lindsay Lohan's bumpy, twisting tour of the legal system will take another turn tomorrow, when her attorney is expected to show a judge proof that the actress has enrolled in a rehabilitation center for a court-required 90-day stay.

But media reports of some last-minute wrangling and mind-changing has raised questions about whether Lohan will meet the deadline for enrolling in an approved program.

In March, Lohan pleaded no contest to misdemeanor charges of reckless driving and lying to police stemming from a June 8 crash on Pacific Coast Highway in Santa Monica and was ordered to spend two years on probation and 90 days in a locked rehabilitation facility.

The 26-year-old actress was also ordered to perform 30 days of community labor and undergo 18 months of psychotherapy, which her attorney said in March she had already begun.

Lohan also admitted violating her probation in an earlier Venice theft case, but a 180-day jail sentence for that violation was put on hold by Los Angeles Superior Court Judge James R. Dabney, who said if the actress meets all the terms of her latest sentence, her probation in that case will be reinstated and she won't serve any additional time behind bars.

Lohan was given permission to perform the terms of her sentencing in New York, where she is living. Various media reports indicated the actress was going to check in to the Seafield Center in New York. Lohan even posted a photo on Instagram, showing herself packing what she called 270 outfits for her 90-day rehabilitation stint.

But TMZ.com reported that Lohan was balking at going to Seafield because it would not allow her to smoke during her stay. That led her to consider switching her rehabilitation plans to Morningside Recovery in Newport Beach, according to TMZ.

E! Online reported that Lohan had planned to fly to Los Angeles today en route to Morningside, but missed her flight from New York's JFK International Airport. RadarOnline, meanwhile, reported that the actress was also considering going to The Lukens Institute in Florida.

The delay could make it difficult for the actress' lawyer, Mark Heller, to have proof by Thursday morning that Lohan has enrolled in the program.
According to police and prosecutors, Lohan told officers she was a passenger during the June 8 crash, but investigators later determined she was behind the wheel when her Porsche crashed into the rear of a truck in Santa Monica.

Lohan was already on probation for her May 2011 no contest plea to a misdemeanor grand theft charge stemming from the theft of a necklace from a Venice jewelry store.
