Easter Weekend Brings Clear Skies

Here are some things to do in Venice this weekend.

We're looking at a cooler weekend this week, with highs in the mid-60s and sunshine both days.

There is a fair amount of civic-minded activity this weekend, as well as Venice's usual arts and activities.

Friday is . There will be sponsored by the Venice Neighborhood Council from 3 to 5 p.m. The rally is aimed at increasing awareness about the dangers of leaded gasoline being used by propeller planes at SMO. It will take place at Bundy Dr. and Airport Ave., at the east end of the airport.

At 11:30 a.m. on  Saturday, there will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony at Windward and Pacific avenues with the Venice Historical Society to commemorate the .
