Farmers' Market Holiday Fun

The Mar Vista Farmers' Market featured the Grinch, singers from Grand View Elementary and the Free Range Orkestar.

The Mar Vista Farmers' Market put on its' holiday spirit this Sunday.

The market hosted a visit from the Grinch, dressed in a Santa suit who held court in a booth ready to pose for pictures. The Grinch worked hard to dispell the good cheer, telling children, "they'll be no Christmas this year" as the giggled.

Santa was at the market too, as a guest of the Califoria Green Designs solar consultants in the MVCC Green Tent. Santa wil be back at the market next week too for one more visit before Christmas.

Students from brought some holiday songs from around the world. They led a procession through the market, singing in Spanish and in Hebrew.

And to round out the music, the Free Range Orekstar, a Balkan brass band serenanaded the crowd with a tuba and horns.

The market will be open next Sunday, Dec. 18, but will close on Dec. 25 and Jan. 1 in observance of Christmas and New Year's Day.
