A garden show, a storytime for kids and Mar Vista Farmers' Market Birthday celebration are just a few things on offer this weekend.

The 58th Annual Culver City Garden Club Show & Sale

Where/When: , 4117 Overland Ave, Culver City, CA 90230, Saturday, August 6, at 12 p.m. and Sunday, August 7, at 10 a.m.

Why Go: The Culver City Annual Garden Club Show is one of the oldest garden shows in Los Angeles. This professionally judged garden show includes exhibitions of plants, flowers and edibles. There will be vendors that sell gardening and plant supplies, plus club plant sales.

Pricing: Free.

Pre-school Storytime

Where/When: 2920 Overland Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90064 (Palms - Rancho Park Branch Library). Sat. August 6, 10:30 a.m.

Why Go: Designed for children, ages 3-6 years old, this fun story time includes lots of great stories, songs, rhymes and other activities that will encourage early literacy.

Pricing: Free

Where/When:  , 12249 Venice Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90066. Sat. August 6, at 9 p.m.

Why Go: The United Front will perform live, plus other bands for a great rock show. There will be Hip Hop and Rock battles and a Green Day tribute to enjoy.

Where/When: , 3826 Grand View Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90066. Sun. August 7. 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.

Why Go: Mar Vista Farmers’ Market is celebrating its fifth birthday. There will be lots of fun activities to enjoy such as, pie baking contests, potato sack racing, a home-grown vegetables contest and more. Enjoy great music and celebrate the birthday of your local farmers’ market.

Pricing: Free.

Where/When: , 3826 Grand View Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90066. Sun. August 7, 9 - 10 a.m.

Why Go: Nurture your body and mind with a nourishing yoga flow class outside in the sun, led by Beth Sobel. Afterwards, sample artesian goods and wholesome prepared food.

Pricing: Suggested donation $14. Twenty percent of all class donations will go directly towards supporting the Farmers' Market (Mats available to rent for $1).
