A man is in the hospital after being stabbed with an unknown object during Sunday night's drum circle, according to City News Service. The victim, reportedly in his early 20s, is in stable condition. There are no suspects, and it is not known whether the stabbing was gang-related, CNS reported.
The City Council Transportation Committee meeting for this week has been canceled due to budget discussions. The committee was scheduled to discuss the final draft of the proposed ordinance known as LAMC 85.11, a key component of the , which would allow people living in their vehicles to park legally overnight in designated areas. The committee considered the motion to pass the proposal two weeks ago but was waiting on feedback from the West L.A. Neighborhood Council and final tweaks from the City Attorney's office.
On Tuesday night, the Venice Neighborhood Council will have its monthly board meeting at Westminster Avenue Elementary School. The meeting was postponed from last week due to religious observances.
