More Sepulveda Boulevard Street Closures

Night crews have begun excavating Verizon telecommunication lines. Work is expected to continue between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. through Nov. 30.

Work began Monday night to remove a Verizon telecommunication line along Sepulveda Boulevard between Bronwood Avenue and Cashmere Street.

The excavations mean streets will be closed through Nov. 30 between the hours of 9 p.m. and 6 a.m., according to a Friday Metro press release.

The following intersections will be affected: Cashmere Street at Sepulveda Boulevard; Montana Avenue at Sepulveda Boulevard; Homedale Street at Sepulveda Boulevard and Bronwood Avenue at Sepulveda Boulevard.

Motorists can expect the following, according to Metro:

  • Sepulveda Boulevard will be reduced to one lane in each direction during work hours.
  • Intersections will be closed from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. for a maximum of three nights.
  • Residential traffic will be detoured to the next available street.
  • Montana Avenue traffic will be maintained in both directions.
