Rainy Weekend

Rain is predicted for Friday night and Saturday.

A couple of relatively weak storm systems are headed for the Southland, where showers are expected between Friday night and Monday afternoon, National Weather Service forecasters said today.

The first of the two systems will appear in San Luis Obispo County Friday and spread across Ventura and Los Angeles counties Friday night, bringing light to moderate rainfall, according to an NWS advisory.

Then, a quick-moving cold front will slide into the region Sunday, dropping even less rain before clearing out Monday afternoon, the advisory said.

"Snow will not be a problem ... as the snow level will initially be around 9,000 feet, then lower to 6,000 feet by Saturday night," it said.
