Venice Juice Bar Named Among Best in US

Have you been to this juice bar? What do you think?

Food & Wine magazine named Venice-based Moon Juice as one of the best juice bars in the country.

Moon Juice opened at 507 Rose Avenue in Venice in January, and serves cold-pressed, 100 percent organic juices and nut milks. The ingredients are pressed between two steel plates, which does not heat and oxidize the produce and therefore retains all the enzymes and vitamins.

Amanda Chantal Bacon owns the juice bar. Originally, from New York City, she has resided in Los Angeles for over 10 years and was an assistant food editor at the Los Angeles Times magazine. She was also involved in running a restaurant called Forage in Silver Lake, an establishment that started with residents bringing in produce from their yards.

Some of the juices at Moon Juice include Cilantro Celery Punch, a detoxifying concoction of cilantro, celery, green apples, lemon and ginger; and Spiced Yam, a mixture of garnet yams, carrots, red apples, cinnamon and ginger.

Let me clarify: All I tried to do was re-link to the video that was dumped when Patch revised itsRead More format. The Festival of the Chariots won't be coming to Venice for months.

One year, long ago, Alice Coltrane performed. Anyone know the year? Definitely in the 70's.
