Why Go: Joe’s Restaurant, on Abbot Kinney is presenting a monthly jazz series starting in February to coincide with the First Fridays’ Art Walks.
This week, Mohr Music will present the First Fridays Jazz Series at Joe’s that will feature instrumental and vocal artists, internationally recognized artists as well as great local talent, signed and unsigned, playing on the heated patio. The 2012 debut event features Venice-based, but internationally revered keys player John Beasley, along with virtuosic vocalist Dwight Trible celebrating the release of their new album Duality. The rhythm section on the gig will be Trevor Ware on bass and Dexter Story on drums.
