Culver City Arts District Summer Solstice 2014

The Culver City Arts District will present its first annual Summer Solstice event on Saturday, June 21, 2014 from 12pm to 7pm.  The Culver City Arts District is located on Washington Boulevard generally between Helms and Fairifax Avenues. The event will feature more than a dozen musical performances throughout the day, a free self-guided tour of art galleries and more. Musical performances will be provided in coordination with Make Music LA as part of a global musical festival taking place in more than 700 cities around the world.  The event is sponsored by the City of Culver City, the Culver City Chamber of Commerce, Visual Art Source, ArtScene and art ltd. The Culver City Arts District is also partnering with Metro to provide destination discounts for those who take Metro to the event! 

Parking for the Summer Solstice event is limited.  Please plan to carpool or take public transportation if possible.  Culver CityBus will be offering $1 Summer Solstice pass for unlimited rides between Downtown Culver City and Fairfax Avenue (along Washington Blvd.) during the hours of the event.  For those that do drive, parking may be available in Downtown Culver City parking structures with limited parking at the Helms Bakery Complex, the Exceptional Children’s Foundation and along Washington Blvd. and La Cienega Blvd. Guests are advised to refrain from parking in the residential area surrounding the Culver City Art District.
