This year, some brave volunteers and supporters of Forte Animal Rescue have formed a team to run the LA Marathon on March 17, 2013 to raise much needed funds for our dogs. A 100% no-kill rescue based in Marina del Rey, Forte saves all breeds and mixes, from poodles to pit bulls, with the belief that all animals deserve a chance at life. Forte typically has 40 to 50 animals in its care at any given time, and will have several dogs at the event that are available for adoption.
Forte Animal Rescue is an all-volunteer nonprofit organization dedicated to finding solutions for the problem of pet overpopulation through its educational activities, animal adoption efforts, and outreach program. Based in Marina del Rey, CA, Forte was established in 2003. To date, the organization has saved the lives of more than 1,000 dogs!
In addition to ongoing boarding and other expenses, Forte Animal Rescue continually incurs significant veterinary medical expenses for the animals it rescues.
