The Venice Family Clinic Silver Circle Gala will take place on Feb. 26 at the Beverly Wilshire in the hopes of raising over $1 million for needy families.
The Venice family clinic supports 7,500 pediatric patients and in addition to health care, provides a car seat safety program, dental care, a literacy and a fitness program.
The clinic was founded in 1970 by Dr. Philip Rossman and has grown into the largest free clinic in the country with eight sites in Venice, Santa Monica, Mar Vista and Culver City. It serves over 24,400 people, and 97 percent are low-income residents.
R&B singer Seal will entertain donors at the gala. Julie and Dr. Harley Liker will receive the Irma Colen Leadership Award and Jeff Nathanson will receive the Humanitarian Award.
