Since moving to Venice six years ago, writer and dogwalker, Jamie Virostko, has been framed for the character assassination of a local musician and was the victim of amateur foreign espionage. Down on the Boardwalk, she has been manhandled by an old hippie surfer (welcome to the club) and discovered that a guitar lesson isn't always just a guitar lesson. Prior to starting a small business and honing her urban bird watching skills, Jamie wandered into Hal's on Abbot Kinney (before it was the coolest street in America) where she met a wealthy, Israeli, ex-Navy SEAL and was drawn into a brutal affair. As a reluctant activist, Jamie has written about Silicon Beach and was interviewed by the California Report regarding corporate gentrification. From her unique point of view, this award winning actress shares an evening of highly humorous and outlandish tales about this crazy little 'hood known as Venice Beach.
