Laugh-Out-Loud Poetry

AGES: 8-12

In this workshop, students will combine funny words, funny storylines, and funny verse forms to leave the audience rolling on the floor.

Lynne Bronstein has written four books of poetry: Astray from Normalcy, Roughage, Thirsty in the Ocean, and Border Crossings. Her poetry and short fiction have been published in various small magazines and web sites. She edited poetry for a magazine calledDashboard Horus, was winner of the first-runner-up short fiction prize for Poetic Diversity’s Fiction Contest in 2006, and has been nominated for a 2014 Pushcart Prize for Poetry. She also works as a reporter and reviewer for the Culver City Observer and is a tutor at 826LA in Mar Vista’s journalism workshop, helping students write forViva Mar Vista.
