The LAPD West Bureau Summer Carnival will run from noon to 11 p.m. Friday through Sunday and is focused on attracting Venice residents and visitors already at Venice Beach, according to a press release issued Tuesday by the Venice Neighborhood Council. Mechanical rides and games will be set up for young children and families and police will be on hand to interact with attendees.

Street closures will begin Wednesday at noon and will remain closed through the weekend. Here is the street closure plan: Windward Avenue from Pacific Avenue to Main Street will be fully closed from noon Wednesday until about 6 a.m. Monday. Windward Circle will be fully closed from noon Wednesday until about 6 a.m. Monday and Grand Avenue will be fully closed from noon Wednesday until about 6 a.m. Monday.
