The proposal by a United Kingdom-based company to temporarily operate a 200-foot "Great Observation Wheel" on Windward Plaza in Venice Beach will be presented to the Venice Neighborhood Council board meeting in April. The plans for the 15-story attraction have raised concerns over parking and obstructing the view of the ocean. Details right here.

Venice High School graduate Andrea "Andi" Murez and three of her Stanford teammates set a national record at the 2012 NCAA Championships and she'll be training soon for the U.S. Olympics Trials. Murez set every school record at Venice High and was named the team's most valuable player each year. Details right here.
