Organic Gardening Program at Venice High Saturday

Join David King and learn how to grow food in Southern California on Sat. June 1 from 10 a.m. to noon as part of the Seed Library of Los Angeles program.

King will be answering, "What should you plant beside, around and throughout your garden?" He'll be providing ideas for what plants prosper well beside each other and which combinations should be avoided.  Continuing with summer crop maintenance and what do you do with those out of control tomato plants?
   
SLOLA will be in the Venice Learning Garden at Venice High School, 13000 Venice Blvd, 90292 Entrance on Walgrove Avenue.

Participants will see how the  tomato plants set out last month are doing Participants will also visit other summer plants and follow their progress towards maturity and learn when to pick zucchini, cucumbers and other summer produce.

Cost is $20. Also, feel free to bring a sample of a plant with you if you are having problems with it and King will answer your questions.
