Pet of the Week Diamond Needs A New Home

Diamond is a real gem and needs a permanent home.

Diamond is a 5-month-old puppy recently rescued by Forte Animal Rescue. She’s recovering after being spayed and she’s in desperate need of both a temporary foster home and a permanent adoptive home.

Diamond is a real gem! Forte was alerted to her situation and rescued her at midnight from a family that never intended to have a dog, but was helping a friend. Their apartment was so small, Diamond was kept on the unenclosed front patio and tied to a pole. At 5 months old, she is very cute and eager to learn, she already knows "sit". With your help she will grow up to be a good ambassador for her breed and a life-long companion.

Diamond is a Weimaraner/American Staffordshire Terrier Mix. She weighs about 30 pounds, and she is already spayed, housetrained, up to date with shots, good with kids, and good with other dogs.

You can meet Diamond by contacting Forte Animal Rescue at 310-362-0321, info@FARescue.org or by coming to FAR’s weekly Saturday adoptions at Centinela Feed & Pet Supplies, 3860 S Centinela Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90066, from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 pm.

The third Sunday of each month an adoption event is also held at Petco Unleashed, located at 13411 Washington Blvd., Marina del Rey (near Costco), from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Forte Animal Rescue is a 100 percent volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, seeking solutions for pet overpopulation, as well as working together with the community to cultivate the human animal bond through educational programs and activities.  In addition to ongoing boarding and other expenses, Forte Animal Rescue continually incurs significant veterinary medical bills, hence any support would be greatly appreciated. Forte Animal Rescue is also looking for foster homes for its rescued dogs, along with volunteers to help its adoption events.
